Chipper

Just yesterday, I posted how well he was doing. And he was.

This morning, my husband woke me up to "Chipper does not look right". He seemed cold, so I snuggled him in bed for a while. He perked right up. Was chirping at me. But still seemed a bit on the chilly side. So I put him in the brooder to get him warmed up.

Just now, I went to check on him and he has passed.

What an awful morning. On October 29th, this little guy at 4 days old got kicked from the nest. So much time we have spent together. Yet now it seems not nearly enough.

I miss him so much, his cute little chirping, his sweet snuggles. He was loved by everyone who met him. I always heard, what a smart little bird! What a sweet little bird!

Most people would not understand. After all, he's "just a bird". My poor baby. Thank goodness I had that snuggle time with him in bed this morning. Otherwise, I don't know what kind of a place I would be in right now. The place I am in is bad enough.

Why do we allow ourselves to get so attached??!! Just yesterday he was hanging upside down in his cage playing with those stupid parakeet balls. You know the ones that hang 4 plastic jingly balls in a row?

My heart is breaking for you & your little guy - that's so hard.

I hope work helps you somewhat. Try not to think sad thoughts about him - easier said than done as i am constantly upset over the health of my aged cat.

His life was short but you were there for him & he got lots of love. In the end it is all we can hope for in this life.

OMG, Dayna... I'm soo sorry to hear that. I looked at the photo you posted and felt how much you love him just by reading your post.
There's no words that can help in a situation like this... and a lot of people don't understand.

so sorry for your loss.he is your angel now and forever. so whenever you feel the flutter of air in your hair know its chipper saying "HI,I will be right here with you when you need me.
