As many of you know, Eleanor was beat up by some of Loot & Liberty's wonderful children because she was a baby. They attempted to gouge her eyes out and it showed. When I found her, she was bleeding from her nostrils and her eyes were puffed out onto the side of her face. It was late night Christmas Eve and there was no where I could go, not even a vet in the area. So I took care of her myself, I used Pickles's hut and put her in it, I made her comfortable and removed the breeders from her cage, leaving only those that she felt comfortable with, Jack, Zach, Blue & Moody. I noticed she wasnt eating so I handfed her for 2 days and she was looking better. I cleaned her wounds and the swelling went down after 1 day. On Christmas she looked better, she seemed like herself and she was stepping up. I decided to take her to my breeder friends house because she had a brooder and I had no way of getting to one because it was Christmas and everything was closed, including the emergency vets in the area.
I took her to the breeders house and she was put into the brooder with other babies, she was being handfed there as well and she looked better. Yesterday we got a call that she kept laying on her side and breathing really fast, and that we should know that she might not make it through the night. Eleanor did not make it through the night, she was only 3 months old and didn't get to live her life yet. She was my sweet angel and she can never be replaced.

Liz I'm so sorry.....((hugs)). It's never easy to lose them, but gosh It's so much harder when you're just done grieving for one, and another one is lost, starts it all up again. Keep yer chin up.
