I am relatively new to Bird Board and just discovered you have an area for remembering our loved birds that have passed on. When I first joined, I posted the following. Here it is again just in case you missed it.

THE KISS OF AN ANGEL (follow up to "Let's Hear It For The Little Guy")

The loss of Baby Peter/The Dude felt like being kicked in the stomach. But a week later we realized the silence and void his larger than life personality left had to be filled.

After an exhausting search for a hand fed baby male budgie, I reached the owners of Bird Heaven Aviary in Northern California. They read the blog and promised me a DNA tested male baby. I truly believe Bird People are special. They are giving and compassionate.

They emailed ... It's a boy and soon would be ready for his journey to Southern California. They sent a picture which we cut out and placed in the new cage we had prepared. We named him Humphrey Bogart; Bogie for short.

When they arrived at our home we saw the baby had a round white spot on the back of his head. Our cherished budgie Baby Peter/The Dude had a white spot on the back of his head. We hadn't seen a budgie with the same marking until Bogie arrived. A friend saw it too and wrote in an email

"I noticed the little white spot on the back of Bogie's head .. that is where Baby Peter kissed him before he came your way."

I would like to think that's what happened ... An angel kiss.

The other day I took this photo of Bogie on his playpen. There is a incandescent streak behind him that we did not see with the naked eye.
Perhaps it's Baby Peter looking out for Bogie. Who knows. He does seem blessed.

That is very sweet. He looks like a very sweet bird too. I'm sure he will be a good bird. He looks very happy and blessed in his play area. I hope your dreams come true and may God Bless you.
