With the greatest of sorrows
This isn't about a bird, but a close friend of one....
Today was one of the worst days...  In the last 2 weeks, our big beautiful Bouvier has been getting sick every morning..... We took him to the vet, but the physical exam showed nothing out of the ordinary. Unfortunately, the blood test results were delayed for a couple of days due to unforeseen circumstances at the Lab. When they did arrive, it was the worst possible news: They revealed his kidneys were shutting down for some unknown reason. He wasn't in very much pain, but he was very, very sick and losing strength rapidly..... Though I'd rather they cut off my arm, at 5PM I signed the order to have him put down. Some of you may have seen these before, but please take a look, This was our Bouv, Max. Handsome, strong, smart, very loving of all his family pack, protective yet patient & kind, boundlessly energetic, but also very obedient... Max was a beautiful dog. There is a special place in your heart that will always belong only to him. I lost my 14.5 year old terrier mix, Fluffy on January 30th from kidney failure. I am so sorry. Your pictures are so sweet. Max was a blessed dog to be loved so much.

My condolences to you and your family. Max is running free and out of his pain; you will all meet again.
