My little Nepomuk
Nepomuk and his sister Helena came into my life when I was 15yrs old - he was a little ball with fur, tiny legs, a huge head and a short stick-like tail. Standoffish, stubborn, smart and careful with who is privileged enough is the way he always was. Over the years, including one scary fall off the roof after which it took us a month to find our little man, he grew more and more comfortable with us.
Whenever I came home from the States, he looked at me like "where the hell have you been", but rolled right over for some belly scritches. There are soo many memories that race through my head right now, and I can't find words. He was diabetic for the last 6yrs, but didn't mind his shots at all - the food afterward was plenty of reward, as well as the extra pets he got during the routine. My little man, who I knew for more than half my life, had to be put to sleep yesterday. He was 16 1/2 yrs old. I know it was better for him as his kidneys started to fail, but I can't help but cry. Run free, Nepo - I know I will see you again, I have to.... and until then, I'll keep the memories with you sacred.

What a wonderful life he had with someone like you Moirana,
I am so sorry your family had to do this even if it was time. It is a sickening thing to go through. Wow over six years with shots and he made it that far, what a trooper! No wonder your memories are so sacred.

I am so sorry. These losses are so hard and what makes it harder is that some people can't understand how or why that is possible. I hope you are surrounded by friends and family that can bring you comfort during these difficult days.

Oh Bee I am so sorrowed for you.. A few years ago I had to put down my beautiful girl Zema. I think I cried for at least a week. I even took the day after off work. I don't think I even got out of bed that day. (((HUGGS))) to you..

I am sorry about your kitty. You know they say when you have to put your pet to sleep, that it is the last kind act you can do for them... He knows how much you loved him. Hope you feel better.
