My little parakeet

My Baby Parakeet died this mourning I woke up this mourning to check on her and she was in her nest dead she was 16 days old does anybody have any idea what might of happened could she have froze?

Was she being fed by her parents? Or handfed? 4 weeks old is too young for a budgie to be fully weaned and eating on it's own so it's possible that if she wasn't being handfed or otherwise, that she starved. Of course, there are also other possibilities.

she was being fed by her parents and I was not feeding the baby. well I just hope I don't have more problems with that. it was wierd though she was moving around and making noise acting normal then when i went to bed i checked on her and the mom was sitting on her so i left them alone then the next mourning (this mourning) she was gone

I breed Budgies, I'd say it could be hunger, or a fright - was there a thunderstorm or anything that night?
I have lost a few budgies just randomly before, they just get a really red bruised looking stomach and just well die...

there wasn't a thunderstorm I think the mom was feeding her

if she was by a window with nothing over her yes she may have or as she was only two weeks old if a flu was going around she could have caught it. was she acting strange before?

she was in a nesting box with a cage cover over the cage but the cage was by a window
