My baby is gone
I have always read the posts on people who lost their birds, but I always hoped I would never have to post. My little baby sun conure Rylie died this weekend. He somehow managed to get his head through the door of my daughter, his momma's, room and I had the house opened up and the wind slammed his little head in the door. I am so greatful that he went quickly, but he was only 4 years old. How do you explain that to a 14 year old who already lost her beloved grandma, the dog she grew up with and the house grew up in. The silence is deafening. No screams when I come home. No screams when I get up. My daughter used to spend every weekend with her three b's. Her bedroom, her book, and her bird. As much as I miss him, I don't know how to help her through yet another loss in her young life. I know he flies free with my Mom and my dog Blitz, but I sure wish he was flying free with me. RIP Rylie. Your were truly loved and will be so missed.

I've very sorry for losses that you and your daughter have experienced. Alone each is heartbreaking but so close together must feel like a cruel joke played on the two of you. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

we have gone thru the same thing this year, our dog, my dad and my daughters bird just today... i totally feel your pain, you feel totally helpless and alone... its very sad.
