It was 3 in the moring when i went to go get a drink. than i went to check if my Lovebird was ok i walked in and saw it on the ground my Girlfriend thought it died for old age i had it for 9 years since i was 15 it was so sad i didnt know what to do
i will always miss her but atleast now she is in bird heaven flying around and enjoying her self i have lots of photos and vids but i just dont think i can watch them everytime i think about a tear runs down my face I just wish she could of lived a bit longer. She would always make me laugh when she would bite my ear and sit on my shoulder well i done some chores Last edited by WHY; 01-14-2009 at 02:16 PM. |

So sorry to hear that.
I know you mentioned that your Cockatiel may have been having respiratory problems, could there be something in the house like cleaners, air fresheners or perfumes that could be causing these things?

There is something very very wrong here. A love bird can live up to 30 yrs old. For low it should have lived up to 15 to 20 years old. It did not die of old age, maybe you should have a necrospy done. Did your bird get out of its cage and onto the floor? Sounds like something is effecting your birds in a way you might not even be aware of. There are so many things that kills birds. (Smoke, telflon pans, house cleaners, scented candles, perfume, air fresheners, and many more) None of these things are ok or fine. I don't get the "lol" ?!?!
