Thanks for your support. I cry every time I read someone's reply, but it's a good thing. I like telling people about my special bird, and I'm glad you guys understand.

I got a book-- My Personal Pet Remembrance Journal (Traisman)-- and I'm recording my memories about Pippin.

I'm so sorry to hear about Pippin...the pictures you shared show how special the bond was between you two.

I typically hesitate to respond to the 'In Memory Of..' posts, not because I don't relate, but because I relate all too well. And it breaks my heart everytime I read about someone else who has lost a family member, human, feathered, or furry.

It really is a blessing that you have found ways to cope and remember the good times with Pippin. Having supportive people around you, in person or in the internet world, helps a ton too. For the sake of other birdies, I sure do hope you decide to use your knowledge and compassion and get another lucky bird when you are ready

That's a great idea to record your memories of Pippin. Maybe I'll do something like that for Coco. I keep finding little things that remind me of her. It's not often that people develop the kind of bond you had with Pippin-- birds like her don't come around everyday and they definitely leave quite an impression on you.

It's been 3 1/2 weeks since I lost Pippin. I'm not sure that it's getting easier. I just miss her so much. Sometimes, it still doesn't seem real that she's not coming back.

saddest thing i've read in a long time (sobbing). i'm so sorry to hear of your loss. Pippin, may you rest in peace. Pippin was incredible, your story was incredible. it's so apparent that he was very loved and that he loved you just as much. unfortunately, it was just his time. take solace in that he had a wonderful happy life with a wonderful person... i know this happened a few months back, but i will say a little prayer for this extraordinary little guy. God Bless.

I am so, so sorry for your loss...your tribute to your bird left me tearing up; what a wonderful life you gave her...she sounded like an extrodinary bird. I feel your pain, for I have lost a bird in just this past month, but I am sure that they are following us everywhere we go, which seems to help me a little to know that every now and then. My heart goes out to you. God bless.
