Unhappy Timmy my blue and white Parakeet has died!

I made a horrible mistake and left the ceiling fan on and my birds were out, I was leaving in a rush and forgot, and now I came home yesterday to find my parakeet on the floor dazed and confused, this morning he passed away from probably blood to his brain and I was too late to save him. I am very sad and angry at myself for being so careless. I lost a good friend and he was a mate to my girl parakeet Spice.

I will post some pitcures later when I can scan them of when Timmy was alive.

I'm so sorry. You just learned the lesson the hard way unfortunately. Now you know to be more careful, so you don't need anyone telling you what you did wrong. I hope Spice doesn't take it too hard, and I'm looking forward to the pics!

We all make mistakes. Cherish the memories and forgive yourself.

He was a beauty, so sorry you lost him. That's a sad story!

With our two flighted little birds, I am pretty paranoid about the ceiling fan in that room and never turn it on - fortunately it's a cool room, and we don't get that hot here anyway.

I know people that have had birds for decades that have made that mistake. Just a few days ago I walked right out the door with one of my little conure sitting on my shoulder. She is so tiny I forgot she was even there, if she hadn't been clipped I would have lost her for sure. We are all human and make mistakes. Like everyone said, don't beat yourself up, accidents happen.
