While Kit helps ease the empty house, Anor my sweet, I still miss you every day. Every bright sun conure I see reminds me of you, only you were more beautiful than them all. A few have the same brilliant orange, but they don't love me like you did.

It's funny, because that day in the pet store I didn't pick you because of your gorgeous plumage. That wasn't even something I noticed. You picked me. You listened when I talked to you, and when I put you back to go on my way, you decided that you were coming too. That jump of yours is what brought you home, not the vibrant feathers, not the lies of the salesperson. They could have told me you were the loudest bird alive and you still would have come home with me.

My heart still hurts for you. Fly free, Anor. I pray to a god I don't believe in that your soul is happy and at ease.

I can't help but cry. I am so very sorry for Anor, what he went through, and your great loss. I wish I could say more, but I am at a loss for words. I'm so sorry I missed this post when you first posted it.
