RIP Oliver
My parents recently had their 18 year old cockatiel put to sleep. He was in really bad shape and couldn't eat anymore. They felt it was best to have him put down instead of starving to death. Poor guy. He was barely hanging on. I'm glad he's in peace now. I'll miss his sweet wolf whistles!

I know Oliver is flying high!!!!! 18 is a milestone. How wonderful to have lived all those years with loving parronts and a good family.

Ahhh .. Hey. he made it to 18. That's pretty old for a cockatiel. Now he can fly and he won't hurt anymore. He'll be waiting for you all at Rainbow Bridge.

18- that is a job well done, little Oliver! And your parents too for the great care he must have received. My tiel is 8 so I hope he gets at least another decade like Oliver. RIP

Thanks for all the condolences. I miss the little guy so much. I really appreciate it. His partner Sydney died about 3 years ago. Sydney lived to be 21. Poor Oliver kind of went downhill emotionally when Sydney died. They got Oliver cremated and put his ashes with Sydney's in an urn. I'm glad they can finally RIP together forever now.
