RIP Bluie, my sweet 9 y/o budgie

My poor boy started looking so old.

Yesterday he was all fluffed up and his tail was bobbing. He's lost a lot of weight in the last few days, and has just been sleeping all the time..
Just seemed to be symptoms that April had..

He perked up a bit around lunch time, but still nothing like what he was.. Took him to the vets where he started to look weaker again, was very quiet.. sleepy

Could have given him antibiotics but it looked like he was starting to get liver problems, and being 9 years old, it's not like we could do a lot to prolong his life.. remembering giving antibiotics to April which only ment bringing him back the next day to be pts, i just didnt want Bluie to suffer the same way too.. so i gave permission

Held him on the way home, Jase is taking him to the PCT tomorrow to get a casket.. like April i just cant have him cremated, there'd be nothing left..

I used to have 2 tiels, April and May, and Bluie. Safe to say that chapter of the trio has finally closed :( he was bred by Geoff Capes [yes, him] had such beautiful colours and always slept upside down.

I hope he's reuinited with April and May now, he got so depressed when May died :(

Gonna get two more budgies soon as Leo my conure parrot is already feeling lonely

Very sad BC :(

Oh what a beautiful little birdie. How lucky to have lived such a wonderful life, able to fly, able to have friends, a great cage with toys and nice perches. A lucky little budgie indeed. I am so sorry for your loss. You gave this little one a wonderful life, take heart.
