Mr. Blue is going "free" tonight

For all the nice nice people who helped soo much with suggestions and even more so with support:

I wanted to let you know that Mr. Blue (the fish who had a marble stuck in his mouth which I had to remove with pliers ) is going back to normal life tonight. He's been eating normally and plenty, and he has regained his strength. I'm convinced he's back to being able to "battle" the companions in the fish tank. So tonight, when I clean the tank, I'll take the devider out and let him have fun with his buddies again!

Once more - THANKS TO ALL YOU GUYS FOR YOUR HELP, I HIGHLY APPRECIATE IT!!!

My brother killed my frogs & almost my keet when he was 3. He sprayed they with Lysol. My grandma had told him that he couldn't touch them cause they had germs. Well, he remember that grandma also said lysol killed germs. He was a smart 3 yr old & put 2 & 2 together. He sprayed them to kill the germs but instead he killed the frogs & the poor bird lost all its feathers. I got to bird in time, thank goodness. Crystal

Yay, Mr. Blue!

I'm glad he pulled through. I'm also really glad you care enough about ALL of your animals to do what you did. I know a lot of people think fish are disposable.

Thanks for caring!

i know a lot of people think that way, but i love my fish... they have their own share of character.
my favorite little guy is an ordinary goldfish that my BF's sister got 12yrs ago. he kind of got forgotten and lived in a tiny little, dirty beta tank when i decided to grab that little guy. now he has his very own 10gal tank, he's prettier than ever (i get compliments for him all the time) and he's cute as hell - he comes up to the surface and nibbles on your finger when you feed him, when i clean his tank he swims to the hand and lets me pet him, and valo just loves loves loves sitting in front of his tank and i guess then they have "animal-talks" how could anyone think that this would be disposable....

Good luck Mr. Blue!

I also think it's sad how many people think that fish are disposable. They deserve to be well cared just like any other animal that we choose to bring into our homes.

...despite the fact that cleaning a fish tank is a royal pain in the butt cleaning a bird cage all the sudden seems like a joy (edit: that is if you're not the owner of ********** )

Do you have the python for doing water changes? The syphon that directly hooks up to your sink? I did bucket changes on my 3 tanks for a year and getting the Python was a Godsend! It's so simple and I don't have to break me back anymore!

It is better to let the water sit and naturally let the chloride evaporate, but with my tiny house (with no basement) and my 3 tanks it's just not possible to have that many buckets of water sitting around. So I do use a chemical to remove the chlorine when doing a water change since the water goes directly from my sink to the tank via a 50 ft. hose.
