Talking Here is Ruben, & Turbo!!

Just thought I would post about my two other "NON FID" Animals lol..

First there is Ruben...He is a Border Collie/?Shepherd/Dalmatian? Mix!
Ruben came from a Very Neglectful and Abusive home...He was just 8-9weeks when I got him and he was full of ticks, fleas, and a HUGE belly full of worms. Him and his littermates were literally thrown at walls, stepped on, & Kicked out of the way. My fiance knew these people and we definately didnt like what we had seen. Their dogs were allowed to run wild and their new Border Collie had gotten pregnant. Well, After the 3rd trip over to their home we took the WHOLE litter home with us! What fun that was !! lol...Anyways, They all lived and were wormed, given their shots, and Got good baths! Once the fleas, were gone and the puppies were healthy enough they started going to their new homes! It took us 2months to find them all good homes but, we just couldnt get rid if little Ruben. When Ruben first came to our home he bit us, and just hated everyone. ECSPECIALLY KIDS! But, with lots of work he has turned out to be so smart, and sweet. He still is VERY WEARY of kids, and just of "CERTAIN" people he doesnt like but, he is such a good boy. It was funny all rubens littermats looked EXACTLY like Dalmatians except ruben.....Ruben is Also ECSPECIALLY fond and SO GENTLE of Small Animals!!...He knows what a Bunny is lol..If I say lets go see Your Bunny then he gets soooooooooo Excited lol and runs to the door to go see Turbo lol.
Ruben as a puppy:

And then there is "TURBO"...
Turbo is a Lionhead Rabbit...Still not Recognized by the American Rabbit Breeders Association(ARBA) but, is being worked on as we speak..probably will take another 4-5years I assume...But, I bred Lionhead Rabbits for awhile but, had to quite due to ...well, Just no one near me was interested in Lionhead Rabbits, they would call me wanting to get "MEAT" rabbits..So, in the end I now have Turbo!!
He is a Purebred, Double Maned, Sable Point!!...He is so sweet and follows me around like a little puppy...He comes on Command and is also very smart and sweet!!

They're both very cute! We stopped by our local pet store (not something we do often and I was sorry I went tonight - but that's another story). They had a lionhead rabbit. I had never seen one before. At first I thought it was some kind of wierd cat with all that fur on it's face! But then I got closer and saw the pointed ears. It was cute - but very sad. What kind of personalities do they have? Is yours full grown?

yeah are you talking about Lola Amanda? She has already seen Turbo lol

And they have Wonderful Personalities...
Since Breeders are STILL in the process of perfecting the breed Lionhead babies have LOTS of fur but, if you want to get a Lionhead that has kept its Mane/Fur then you will definately need to check out the parents. Nicely Bred Lionheads with Good Bloodlines keep their manes through adulthood like my turbo did, and yes he is an Adult. They get no bigger then about 2-4lbs...Turbo is only 2lbs but, you wouldnt know it with ALL that Fluff!!
They are known to have WONDERFUL personalities and are quite the funny littler guys to watch and hang out with lol....Turbo is definately a smart little guy and has the run of the house alot of the time! LOL...My friend I sold a baby to has House trained/Litter Trained her rabbits lol..
Have anymore Questions then let me know?

Like I thought about birds, I didnt think rabbits would make good pets lol but, oh they do!!

Here is some GOOD Lionhead Rabbit Breeder Sites:
http://www.bastetsbunnies.com/
http://www.whitewizzardrabbitry.com/
http://www.daffyndandy.net/

These Breeders are of the BEST in the Country! Their Lionheads are known to keep their manes, & stay true to the small ears, and low weight of the standard put on lionheads and they keep good their bloodlines going. When you get a Pedigree with any animal you need to do much research with each animal in the pedigree. I did this with all of my breeding stock to pick and choose which color, & type of another rabbit would Compliment that rabbit..lol lots of work into breeding rabbits...Not just putting two together and getting babies!

Nope, I meant Ringneckmom! LOL That's cool that more people do though, I never heard of them before seeing R's. They are really adorable, and I love bunnies. We have adopted a no more pets rule!
