I have 3 tanks currently, all freshwater:

55 gallon with community fish
40 gallon cichlid tank
10 gallon that is my hospital tank but has housed my convict for the past few months after he almost got killed by the other cichlids. I'm still afraid to put him back in their tank.

SImple here--I have a 2 gallon on the desk. Its not too heavy and I get to watch them all the time. Its really maintenance free with a tiney filter pump.
Its filled with feeder guppies. I've always liked them because they are cheap so I don't feel bad when they die. They are multipying so I have a 10 gallon that I just lost a single Jack Dempsey to that I have for 5 years. He was huge.
R.I.P. big guy. He shared it with a Plecostimus SP? He too is huge. He is still in there and he shares the tank with the over populated guppies.
Oh lets not forget about Mr BETA in a tall cylinder glass with bamboo and pink gravel.
Nothing fancy here but fish can't count money right?

I have one or two.

I have a 16 Gal with a Jewel Ciclid.
A 10 Gal with a Convict Ciclid.

Both USED to be in larger tanks- But proved to be rather antisocial when they ate their tankmates (also ciclids) so were moved into their own accomidations)

a 15 gal FW 'Community' tank, W/Angelfish and tetras

And, a 40 Gal S/W tank with a pair of Ocelaris Clowns, 2 urchins, Misc. Anenomes and other inverts, and a MANTIS SHRIMP....

Plus, I just sold my 92 gal SW setup and moved the remaining 'critters' into a smaller tank, I have a maroon clown, a couple of crabs, serpent stars, and a coral banded shrimp living in there.

Beleive it or not, I have downsized my aquariums a bit in the past few years :)

I don't have an aquarium, but that's my dream when we move to a place where we plan on staying. (I sure don't want to move an aquarium.) I only have experience with Bettas. Does anyone have any good books, websites, etc., that I can learn about how to set up and take care of an aquarium when the time comes?
Thanks.

i have 55gal tropical freshwater tank which is overpopulated by an albino oscar, chichlids and a large pleco (adopted the tank from the previous owner)

i also have a 10gal freshwater tank for my grandpa-goldfish elmo (who btw is the coolest fish in the world *proud*)

to begin, really any starter book is useful which can be found in bookstores... that helps to figure out how to (properly, not like mine) set up the tank, start up period, which fish to get, how to populate etc.
once you're through that type of book, you can find advanced books, online forums (there's one just like BB for fish in general as well as for oscars, PM me if you'd like the link) and magazines.
