It's So Hard To Decide...

I was going to adopt a dog around Christmas time. It didn't work out and I decided to just work with exotics [reptiles & parrots].

However it's become clear to me that I need a canine companion in my life.

I have four choices at the top of my list. Care to give your opinions on the breeds?

1. Great Dane
2. German Shepherd
3. Standard Poodle
4. Dalmatian

My brother owns a G.S and I think they are amazing. Great danes on the other hand have always been a favorite, along with Standard Poodles.

The dalmatian? I had one for nine years and he was the light of my life. I doubt I would get another though because I wouldnt want to be feel as if Im replacing him.

I will NOT, I repeat, WILL NOT, be adopting from a shelter. I'm not going to badmouth them, so lets just leave it as a 'personal decision'. I'll either rehome one or purchase from a SMALL breeder. NO PUPPY MILLS OR PETSHOPS, THEYRE HORRIBLE.

Sorry for my post being so....out there.

Here is my opinion...get a Dalmation....you wouldln't be replacing the past dog just starting a new chapter of your life with a new dog. Dalmations are great, I had one for 5 years or so before I left home for university and I loved him. I am not bad mouthing the other dogs they are great too...but I would go with a past breed that you had a great experience with. However, I was also thinking about getting a Great Dane too....lol....
