Ferrets are such fun. I had a young female and she gave me so much joy! Only bad thing is she caught and killed my lorikeet Charlie when my mum let her out without checking of Charlie was out too... when I was at school. I couldn't blame her though.
Then when I was packing the day before school camp, I promised her I'd come say goodbye in the morning but I forgot and left without saying bye. When I was at camp, she got so lonely from no one to play with that she escaped through an ich wide gap :o and we never saw her again. I had a traumatising ferret ownership! We had some good times though- we'd go on walks, bike rides, to shows, markets, shopping etc. I'd love to get another one some day, but I won't loose another lorikeet- especially one as special as Ash.

Hi i just saw your post, it sounds to me like you are a great ferret play mate.
From my experiance the more you run away, the more they enjoy the game. Here is a clip of two ferrets i had Piper and Hamlin, playing in the garden. It was taken on my old camera so is very short and has no sound, but you can see piper ambush Hamlin. ![]()
