Nothing wrong with having a color preference at all- I adore sables myself and when I add a GSD to the family in a few years? It WILL be a sable. :)

ohhh, how cute!! i wanna get a gsd too when we have more room, i wanna do shutzhund training!!

not sure which color i want...if its a gsd, i like it :) i didnt used to like the sables, but they have really grown on me, and now im even considering a sable. i saw an adorable one today at work. but i think my faves are the black and tan, or the black and silvers. i also love the bi-colors, and the ones that are mostly tan-brown with the black masks :) oh hell, i just love all the colors!! LOL

Birdsnreps, you know we have an AWESOME GSD rescue here in Texas too, right? Camp Wolfgang, which is down Austinish. (There's a Dallas GSD rescue too)- I know a number of folks who have adopted performance dogs from them and they're GREAT at matching people and dogs pu.

Oops, thought I replied. I have friends who show dogs in breed (so have intact dogs) who've been approved, so I don't know that it'd be an issue. :)

Hmmm, well if your other friends have been apprved and they breed, we might too. i never plan on breeding dogs myself, but you know how most rescues (doesnt matter what animals they are rescueing) always like to demonize breeders :(

Well, I got a puppy yesterday! I named him Chrono. I bought one from the only breeder out of about 8 that answered all my questions and kept in good contact with me. I had been considering this puppy for a few weeks and I finally got him. He's a black short-haired german shepherd. He's tattooed, has all of his shots up to date, and is registered with CKC. He's a bit older, he's 3 and a half months old, and he's huge already. His dad is 110 pounds and his mom is 90 pounds. He was only $500, and just needs one more shot and to be neutered.

It was a 5 hour drive there and and another 5 hours back since he was in a different province. Here he is sleeping in the back of my car, after puking about 4 times. He really liked that blanket and kept moving the blanket over and puking onto my car seat instead hehe.

Meeting Stuart the kitty!

They sleep together now. The kitty loves his ears. She follows him everywhere.

Here's a friend of mine carrying him around like a baby.

It's a brand new house, so it's a brand new yard with no grass yet.

Here he is out for a midnight walk!

Here's the cute little puppy waiting beside my car while I clean up his puke
