Topsie? What who the heck is Topsie?
We (yes we... he is actually interested in the naming process this time)
Have a lil' list going for names...

Tessa
Kimba
Keyba
Nalah
Sarabi
Akira
Zeneyah
(Neh or Ney-ney for short) ---> If we had had a daughter, that would've been her name.

Right now the favorites seem to be Zeneyah & Tessa (it seems to change every time we blink an eye). This is a child-free naming process, just the hubster & I, woo~hoo!

Hubbie is actually kind of excited. I was shocked. I actually asked him if it were ok for once... (usually I just bring 'em home) and he said sure... go ahead, get her!

He really does surprise me sometimes!
He truly is a wonderful man when he lets me have my own way willingly, heh-heh

I didn't name Moxie... my parents did. My dad loves that old tyme soda "Moxie" & I believe that is how they came up with the name.
I dunno, I thought you'd (Terri-berry)would have liked Tessa, at least.

Ya know, Scarley isn't exactly traditional!

If I bred dogs or birds I could see myself doing the same thing as that woman. Even though you just met I suspect she feels like she has met a kindred spirit. I would like to believe she is on the up-and-up and can tell that you have a nurturing soul. Many people breed animals because they love the process and being around babies and watching them grow. When it's more that than the money, it is easy to see where the right home is more important than the right price. Now, having said that, I hope I haven't set you up for disappointment but it sounds like she loves her babies and feels you will be good to one.

In all honesty, I'm surprised this hasn't happened to you more often.

It happens all the time - BTW ShihTzu puppies NOT from a pet store run $200-$300 around here with papers. You have pet store prices on the brain and they are WAY stupid. Not you,lol...the pet store prices, lol. TAKE THE PUPPY!!!!!

You know that you can try and second guess or even fully understand why a perfect stranger would reach out to you that way, but why bother. It is probably just as simple as this person really cares about her animals and saw something in you and your parents. The way that we someone first time and love them or hate them, this is no different.

There are still many good people in the world. It was meant to be.

Well yesterday my husband had me call a 2 breeders, just for fun... one was in TX (that was a mistake, as I wanted to call one from around here, but I grabbed her # from the internet, hers were 1000 w/o shipping. Then I called a breeder about 20 minutes from here, and hers are $600... but that was micro chipped, etc.
I don't care what she costs... I'd never sell/rehome her anyways. I just will feel better once she is "in our custody", so to say, lol!

Thanks everyone, really... this has been a fun post to come back and read (and great for my ego )

Now on to the naming process!!

It could be that she is having a hard time finding GOOD homes for her pups, and senses that you would be a good home. She may also like the idea that the two pups would see eachother.

The breeder that I got my first Great Dane from had an accidental litter 7 months later. 12 pups in the first litter in January, and 11 pups in August. We got another from the second litter for $500.

It's not always about the money. Take the puppy and enjoy!

And here's some pictures of Jagger and Bella. Two peas in a pod!
