SO just LOVE your puppy for who she is - YOUR CUTE COMPANION FRIEND!! and BTW, cute bows!
Yeah, I didn't even ask about papers. I don't care, it doesn't even matter to me if she's purebred... I was just concerned with the purebred factor for my folks.

As for the bows... I will not be toting this girl around in an over-sized purse... I may pick up a dog stroller for events such as the fireworks, easter egg hunts with the kids, concerts down on the river, etc. so my hands can be free and she will not get stepped on (not to mention, then the boys can help out with her as well with less worries!). I wasn't sure about the bows, except I don't really care for the short cut on the shih tzus.

And, I refuse to spend more time on my dog's hair on a daily basis than I do on my own... (this is a fake dog, right?)

And, for the length I like, my poor girl will need a little help to see, hence the bows.

I have no intentions of going over the top... Paris Hilton have absolutely nothing in common & I plan on keeping it that way.

Trevor has a nice bow... :D Sorry can't stop laughing just want to give him a puppy bandana or something maybe a little cowboy hat clip. Your bows for your new girl are cute though.

When our dogs had 2 puppies- that were not intended- we made a similar decision as your breeder friend. We had taken the pups (Flea and Jezza) and their mum (Tara) to the estuary for swimming lessons and socialization when a couple and their young 2-3 year old son came up to look at the female pup; with an amazed look on their faces. Their dog, who was of the same breed, had died of cancer two years ago... They had spent much time and money trying to help her to beat cancer- even natural therapy like messages- but in the end it got the better of her. She also happened to look identical to the female pup we had- which is unusual in ACD x border collie mixes, with all their random spots, markings and splodges! It was obviously meant to be and we let them have her- (vet checked, microchipped, wormed, de-flead and free of charge) because there was no better home in the world, and what less would we want for her?

Jezz:

You deserve your new little girl, and she is absolutely adorable!

Sounds like a backyard breeder. Is the dog tested for hip dysplasia or eye problems? Is it ckc registered? Were you able to meet the parents? Do they meet breed standards? When buying a purebred dog, these are all things you should be looking for. A lower price usually means that the breeder isn't doing everything they should be for promoting the best of the breed.

And about the dog she's just giving away to you...does it have any health problems? It seems really suspicious that a breeder would just give away a puppy. Just be careful.

NONE of ANY of that matters now... They both are now in their unconditional love giving, forever homes.
These two little girls have taken 2 households by storm, & we wouldn't have it any other way!

Awe, I was just catching up with thist thread, and saw Paisley in your signature (like reading the last page of a book before you've even started). I'm so glad you got her, and that she has made you so happy. Bless that woman for her generosity, and you for your compassion. *hugs*
