Squeaky clean (funny!)

Well my rats are males and they have a bad habit of urinating on their bedding and basically marinating in it until they smell like... well... rat pee. Kali got me some small animal shampoo for them and I tried it out recently. It came out blue and for a while Lucian looked radioactive but afterward they smelt WONDERFUL! I must say though, they did not like their bath one bit!

Lucian is getting darker by the day! He is now clearly a beige hooded, not an albino at all. Isn't he handsome?

"Give me the biscuit!"

I just liked this picture...

Bath time!

"I don't think I am liking this."

"Why are you doing this to me?!"

He really wants to hide in my clothes... sorry little guy but you're smelly and wet!

That is NOT a happy rat!

Lucian's turn

"I don't think so!"

Wriggling around while being rinsed...

Behaving at last!

"I give up!"

You look like drowned rats! *snickers* (biscuit, not poop!)

Aww look at his little tongue!

Squeaky clean

Little tip, try much less water and you might go better next time. When i used to wash my rabbit i would only put in enough water to cover his legs and you jsut splash it over him.

Kali do you rinse afterward? I submerge them up to their arms and soak them for 10 seconds then rinse them with lukewarm water under the tap. I don't want them left with residue since it can irritate their skin.

Thanks Renae ^_^
