There are great pics on my website about telling males from females. If your female has allot of blue she may be of the subspecies "Lucida" pacifica in which the females tend to have allot of blue. My retires pair Opal and Prism were Lucidas.

Thanks!
Yep Gabby is a GCC. The cats and Gabby grew up together and like to play and groom each other. It's really funny to see but I'm glad they all get along, the cats have never once thought of hurting her. Gabby, I think, thinks she is the ruler of the roost! Like I said before, I had a Sun at one time, he really only liked people, he wasn't bothered by the dog but didn't interact with it either; although, one time Darwin did ride on the dogs back for some reason but it only happened once.
As for Pepper, yes she has a lot of blue which led me to believe male but I will check out your site. I would like to know much more about her. Thanks!

Here is a website with a pic of a Lucida female. Her pic is the last one on the bottom of the page. Note all the blue

Great site...I can really see the difference now...poor Pepper is still laying eggs, I guess I will have to wait it out. I reallly like the white parrotlets, I think that will be my next bird after I get a mate for Pepper!
