Where are you located? Port Lincolns aren't very common here in the United States, and I haven't heard of them being kept as pets... quite a few birds out there get the name of "aviary birds" because they are not often kept as pets... however, any bird can be tamed.
What was the price, as well?

im in the uk, he cost me £80 you say all birds can be tamed im guessing it should be easier to tame a young bird? he is only 4month will not let me put my hand in his cage, gets stressed easily, doesnt make a sound(is this normal?) he looks sad :( so im thinking that by going to an avairy he can be with other birds and lead a happier life than stuck in my cage miserable?

4 months is a pretty young age for any bird! Noel was estimated to be 9-11 years old when I got her, possibly older. She bit, screamed, and mutilated! Not tame! Now I'd consider her tame, but she isn't human orientated. She trusts me to a degree, she likes kisses from me, I can give her meds, no probs, cover her head, hold her beak, but no touching of the wings or back!
Do you know if he was parent raised or hand raised??? I've only ever seen two port lincolns before and I didn't ask how much they were going for! If you want to tame him (perhaps its a female?) then you need to gain the birds trust. Try feeding him/her food from your hand, keeping still and not looking directly at the bird. Sit near the bird, read to the bird, talk to them, but try not to stare at them. Give him toys to play with (no mirrors), and a variety of perches. Feed him a healthy diet. If you decide you don't really want him you might want to look for someone who has experience with port lincolns, although truth be honest I don't know how well they do with other species of parrots.
