parrotlet doesn't like bath

I have a 4 month old parrotlet named Cosmo and he hates bath time. I tried misting him with water and a deoterizing spray but before I can even get the bottle out he recognizes it and runs away. He absolutly hates it. I thought almost all birds were supposed to like baths. I also tried to let him bathe himself in a dish of water but he wouldn't go near that either. I would really like him to take a shower with me but since he hates being misted so much it looks like that isn't going to happen. What should I do?

Chirpy's another bath hater. He gives me such baleful looks if I use a mister, I feel awful. The only way we can sometimes get him to bathe is he goes in the bathroom on my arm whilst my boyfriend is in the shower. I then get soaked whilst he sits on my arm and bathes in the spray from the shower. This however only happens every 5 or so times we take him in. Usually he runs away from the spray for the first 5 mins then suddenly decides he wants to bathe and loves it. It's never easy, he likes to keep us on our toes!!
