How often will she lay eggs?

I just got my parrotlet about 3 weeks ago. On the second day that I had her I was changing the food dish and she was hanging on the side of the cage and all of the sudden an egg dropped out of her! I bought her at a flee market and the lady that sold her to me gave me very little information on her. She did tell me that she was about 1 year old and that she had been in a room with 19 other types of birds. When I was walking away with her, she said that all I needed now was a male! I think that she knew that she was laying and just didn't tell me. My question is...lets assume that she wasn't with a male (because she isn't) how often will she lay?

There's no correct info for that. There are hens who never lay an egg in their life... Some hens may not lay an egg until they are in their late teens, or older...Other hens will lay seasonly. Some even become chronic egg layers.
