Hi birdymomma, here is a link to my site which describes how to sex parrotlets and the different mutations you may get.

Parrotlet info site

depending on the mutation it can be very difficult to tell male to female

Birds can be infertile. If you continue getting clear clutches then I would say if their only purpose is breeding, they probably need to go.

Parrotlet's need very sturdy perches. I"m watching one of my pairs go at it right now. They make thse cute/weird little sounds.

Anyway, they do it and make the sound for about 45 seconds before they actually "connect." YES, you can see it if you have the right angle. At the momment they connect the sond changes to just a bit and they're done in 2 or 3 seconds.

They need a stable perch.

If this isn't the problem, you could try to re-pair them. Sometimes this results in both birds producing.

What are there ages. And have they produced for someone else. I often have young pairs lay clear for a few clutches and older pairs 4-5 years who quit showing fertile.
