Parrotlets do very well on Shauna's Mash diet (Feeding Feathers Yahoo forum) - it is a fresh diet of sprouted or cooked whole grains (30% of diet) and certain, more easily digested legumes (15% of diet), lots of fresh vegetables daily (about 45% of the diet), some fruit (10% of diet), and natural supplements. If you look back in the threads, I just did a photo post on the Mash diet last week. Some pellets as part of the diet (I feed about 20% pellets) are fine too, but they really thrive on a lot of fresh food in the right proportions.
