Incense isn't advised to use around birds.
You say your bird doesn't like anything wet, but until birds are exposed to the same food many times (sometimes, many, many times!), they don't eat it because it's not familiar. So if you give up on food because she doesn't eat it a few times, you haven't let her know that this food is okay to eat. Catering to a picky bird makes them even pickier. You might try choosing a few healthy foods, minced very finely or food processed, and begin adding them to something she does like. Very small quantities of the new food at first, gradually increasing when you see she starts to eat it. The new food needs to be presented every single day even if she's not eating it - part of the process of learning that this strange stuff is edible. Have you tried sprouted grains? Most P'lets like that really well, and after they're eating the sprouts, they are a great base for starting to add the vegetables. Not too many new foods at once, and stick with them for several weeks or even a couple of months.

Yes sprouted grain is good. I put the link at the bottom. I get mine there.
I agree with Chapala. Keep trying foods. Cut them up finely, also, leave some larger. Sometime Chipper likes baby carrots whole, sometimes small. I make "cookies" with whole grain oatmeal, the new one with several things in it, an egg, whole wheat flour, pellets and some seed from Volkman Parrotlet mix. I then add water and bake. SHE LOVES IT. That is dry. You can add goodies like veggies too. Experiment. You never know what they will eat and it takes time. Oh, I had to add this. I cut the seed pod out of green and red bell peppers. Chipper LOVES THIS! Try it. She loves the seed, I don't think she eats the pepper. No incense, NO teflon, no smoking, candles, chemicals etc. Having birds actually helps us be in a better environment! Parrots on the Porch

Sally, do you sprout the cooking mixes or just the organic sprouts? And which one do you use? I was thinking about trying sprouting for my conures, but the website you provided has so many choices! What does Chipper like, wanted to start with one that someone else had used with success! Thanks

I'll try new foods with Puck, I make her a veggie dish for breakfast everyday.
I really want to start making diffret types of moring meals for her. Sprouted grain and carrots and some of your cookies. I'll let you know in a couple days if she likes it, Thanks so much.

Chipper likes sweet and tasty and the fall medley. I do not add a lot of the flavor packet.
Phaerie, I add water to the mix to wet it and bake. Make it the way you want, never overdo seeds though. A few go a long way for tiny birds. Chipper gets great foods and STILL ended up with high cholesterol. She has been to the vet and is doing great now.
