health problem?

New development tonight. I went to say goodnight to Miss Jadie who was ready to go to bed. I noticed while she was climbing around that cage that her vulva/anus was pulsating.



Is this a sign that she has an egg (HOPE NOT)? What should I do other than make sure she is well fed/watered and has her regular r&r?

OH boy, I don't know much about that....but when my canary had that it was not a good thing and it didn't get better....and it had a sad ending...but his was not just pulsating...his was clogged I think. Anyway.....the other thing I know is one of my hens became egg bound. I was able (through internet research) to correct the problem (can't believe I could do it!)....but I'd advise a vet if your little Jadie doesn't improve really fast.

Well this morning she seemed fine. I'm keeping a close eye on her. She shows no interest in nest building and despite the longer days of summer she kept to your normal winter hours. I'll keep watching. I hope she isn't clogged. She did go today, i know, but i'll watch for normalcy. Thanks for responding.

Good, happy as ever. And it stopped, whatever it was. But her poops are normal and she is her happy, playful, chirpy self.
