New Cage - Suggestions Appreciated

Right now Jadie has the large HQ Flight Cage. It's a great cage and she loves the size. Unfortunately, I have to move to a smaller place... much smaller and since I have to, so does she. I have a great outside area set up for her that will be incorporated with her new cage. She is hardly in the cage when I am home and gets time outside a lot. I dont want to do this to her but for space reasons, i have to.

I was wondering what cages you recommend? Before I decided on the HQ, I was looking at things like the Avian Adventures Nina play top cage but looking back at now, it is just tooo small.

Because of bar spacing constraints, there isn't a lot out there. I would really like a great cage that went floor to ceiling but they are all for super large birds when compared to Jade.

What do you recommend? Best case senario, I keep her in her cage but I just don't think I'll have enough space. I am looking anywhere from $200 to $500... and too think I thought she would be cheaper than getting a cat! lol

Oh youre lucky - I just had to move my Oliver from his HQ because it was just too big for him. LOL yea birds are definitely the most expensive pets I know!! Worth every penny though. As far as the cage goes, try birdscomfort. I know some of their cages are pricey but if you are looking for a bigger size for Jadie they will have it.

this one takes up less space than an hq flight because you can put it on a piece of furniture.

Try a kings 2217 or 2620. I believe they also make 18x16's now. The size is great and a LOT better than some cages i've seen parrotlets live in. I have kings cages for all my birds except my 1 avian adventures cage for my tiel. I love the cage, cleans easy, comes apart easy, and the paint is smooth. I've had it for 4 years, and its darn near perfect still. The bar spacing of the cages mentioned above is fine which is 1/2 and 5/8. I'd reccomend against the tall cages. The birds only use the top half of these cages and sometimes it can be really hard to get them down if they are perched above you. Check out the 1816 and the 2217 on kings cages website. They have good prices on toys and everything else too. You truly get what you pay for when you go kings or avian adventures.
