Oliver's breakthrough!

I don't know where this change in Oliver came from, but tonight he decided he wanted to be social with momma and I took advantage of it! Maybe his molt is coming to an end so he's in a better mood? Either way, it was amazing!!

Usually if I am anywhere near Olly he tenses up and tries to get away. Tonight I had a millet branch and he came to it and ate. This alone shocked me. So I figured, what the hey, Im going to start up clicker training. By the 10th click, Oliver knew what the click meant - he was getting a treat!! We trained for about 20 minutes and thats good enough for today. I know sessions shouldnt last longer than 15. He seems pretty excited about it! He just ate a huge snack of brocollo and red peppers and now he's preening his toy

yea Oliver!! This is so good for him, he's really coming out of his shell!!

Thats great news! It sounds like he's getting more comfortable with you! How long have you had him? I've tried Clicker training with Cookie, but she's just not interested.. It sounds like Oliver'll get the hang of it, though!
