:)

Do you have one??

I am trying to convince my other half that we "need" to get the Mustache Parakeet at the local bird rescue place.

I think they are beautiful, and while I have studied a bit about them there is not alot out there.

They are asking $250.00 for it and they say it is quite handlebale.

I do not think I can talk my other half into another bird at this point, so I do hope it finds a very good home.

Yes, Yes

Oh yes mustaches are one of my favorite birds. Although the male and female personallities differ quite a bit. The males are more affectionate and talkative, and the females are well.... tempermental. A lady I've talked with who breeds them told me she has to remove the male from the female cage after breeding cause she has killed males before. Mine isn't quite that mean but she does have a tendancy to pin her eyes at all the other birds in the house. They tend to favor one person I have found. Our female owns my husband and the male owns me. I am currently looking for another male, is this rescue place near WA or OR?

I have an 18 year old Male named Gizmo and he is just the sweetest guy in town. I would suggest one to anyone because of their wonderful temperments. I rescued my guy from a divorce situation where there was a lot of fighting going on about six years ago. He is great and he gets along with my Meyers and my Tiel really well, although not caged together, when they are out playing the three stick pretty close together and play.

OK This is my dream world. I want a private tropical island. No cats (though I love them) and all types of parrots, and iguana's loose on the island.. Beautifull white sand beach's and a nice little beach house. Beautifull palm tree's everyware and fruit tree's. I could live forever like that. YESSSSS!!!!! I am a hermit type. Of course I would stay in touch with the Bird Board because I would have a computer so I could order new bathing suites because I wouldnt have to ware much else and I'm presently to fat to go nude plus we have a son till he leaves home but that is my ideal.
