New girl Lee

This is Lee, my female Mallee Ringneck that I picked up early this morning *6.15am snore, sleepy time! LOL* she's this years bred.

I have to wait until well after breeding season is over before I can introduce her to Mal - her new husbird because apparently he is his heightened state is likely (possibly) to kill or severely damage her.

This is Mal, I will introduce them around April/May through the bars of adjoining cages:

malle ring necks

hi karen
im new to this chat but i see you purchased a Malle ringneck hen for your lovely little boy
i have a male Mallee ringneck & would love to get him a mate
he was getting beaten up badly in our area by what i think was those noisy minor birds , there was too many to count
so we save him but he just cantfly properly anymore so we keep him safe in our house
where do you live & would you give me the breeders name who bred your lovly looking little hen
we live in Ipswich in Qld which is north west of Bribane
tanks for your time

Do they make fun / interactive pets? What kind of personality do they have? Are they loud - what's the noise level like?

our little boy i very skittish but he responds better to my wife than me
i would attach a photo of him but im not reall good at this computer stuff
he calls out to the Pale Headed Rosellas in our area & he sounds so much like them
i think if we got him as a baby he would have been a great companion& he fits in with all the others birds we keep in the house
