Senegal Parrot

I'm wondering what you all can tell me about the Senegal Parrot's. Pro's and Con's.

See my orginal post in the bird talk section; Newbie, help us find a bird!! It's quite the read and we've been on an intresting ride trying to find the best bird for our family.

I'm curious to hear from other Senegal owners and get your imput;

I'm the one in the family who would really like a bird; my husband doesn't want a small one and I'm not really wanting a large one; talking ablity is a plus; and more importantly we have children, three. Ages 10 girl, 5 girl and 3 months old, boy..... The bird wouldn't be a gift for our kids and we would watch them all when the bird was out, but having a bird that is family friendly is important to us;

any imput ???

If you look under "poicephalus" there is lots of discussion about Senegals. As for me, I think they absolutely wonderful critters and I love mine to pieces!!!
