Not sure you got my point? The picture I posted was of the Mountain Parakeets Bolborhynchus aurifrons...
The picture you posted, although LABELED as a "mountain parakeet" is a Regent Parrot aka Rock Pebbler Polytelis anthopeplus... Regardless, they are interesting looking birds! Here's some topics (mostly old) that have talked about the Regents... New here and to the bird world Princess Parrot / Rock Pebbler http://www.birdboard.com/forum/bird-...k-pebbler.html

I really aspire to a mommy to one of these babies! Just love everything about them. If anyone has any info on a reputable breeder of these beauties, please let me know. Thanks in advance!

![]() It's such a shame -- the various Australian parrots & parakeets are just not that common here in the US. Rock Pebblers are really interesting. Here are some interesting links: http://animal-world.com/encyclo/bird...ntparakeet.php http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Co6CvqDSlZ0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EbLzpdrsPRU O/T: BTW -- I was in Manchester, Exeter & Laconia this past weekend! NH is such a pretty state. Can't wait to get back for another visit ![]() -e-
