Hanging Parrots?

Does anyone actually keep these anymore? I've never seen any in person - they seem really interesting...but extremely rare.

Cool. Thanks.
How big do they usually get? I would google it but I fear "hanging parrots" would give me links I don'y care to see.

I braved Google for you, nothing unfortunate on the first page.

Wiki Says:
The hanging parrots are birds in the parrot genus Loriculus . This is a group of small parrots from tropical southern Asia.

These little parrots, about 13 cm (5 in) long, are mostly green plumaged and short-tailed. Often head coloring helps to identify individual species.[1] These parrots are unique among birds for their ability to sleep upside down.

I find that last bit odd, because I've caught Rigel sleeping upside down from his cage a few times. *shrug*

So they're little like a Parrotlet?

Our first TAG, Paris, used to hang upside down & sleep sometimes ...

From what I understand, hanging parrots and fig parrots are not common in the pet trade... at least year in the US, anyway.

Here's a bit on fig parrots: Loriinae.com - Other Parrot Species
