I braved Google for you, nothing unfortunate on the first page.
Wiki Says: The hanging parrots are birds in the parrot genus Loriculus . This is a group of small parrots from tropical southern Asia. These little parrots, about 13 cm (5 in) long, are mostly green plumaged and short-tailed. Often head coloring helps to identify individual species.[1] These parrots are unique among birds for their ability to sleep upside down. I find that last bit odd, because I've caught Rigel sleeping upside down from his cage a few times. *shrug* |

From what I understand, hanging parrots and fig parrots are not common in the pet trade... at least year in the US, anyway.
