Question Need help....parrot will not eat

My Indian ringneck decided he does not want to eat his Zupreem pellets anymore, so today I am pretty sure he didn't eat any of it. He did eat his usual amount of fruits and veggies and I can tell he is hungry. He was so excited when I got him his millet. I am worried about him, because of the fact that birds can lose weight pretty easily and it can have some serious implications. I noticed this for the past three days. I have some seed that is old. I mean it is from July. Is it too old to give him? Would I be better off giving him some more fruits and veggies tonight and some more millet rather than giving him the seed? I plan on getting his old pellets he use to eat (Kaytee) tomorrow and some fresh bag of seed mixture. Please let me know. I don't want to get him sick from some kind of fungus or from mildew. Thanks for your help...

Seed may or may not still be good. Some things can last for quite a while. I don't really care for Kaytee products, but you might want to contact several pellet companies and see if you can get free samples to see if he'll eat any others. Some wont give out free samples but will do a money back guarantee if you didn't like the product or rather the bird didn't!

You can find a list of pellet manufacturers at the bottom of this page
