Hey, I'm Mel. I need information regarding a rainbow lorikeet. At the farm where I work, they have a tame lorikeet who continuosly plucks his feathers. He isnt lonely, there are two others in the aviary. So please private message me if you can answer these:

- My handreared lorikeet (I rescued and handraised), has no tail and no flight feathers?

- Lorikeet plucking out his feathers?

- Budgie's breath really hot and continuosly panting/opening and closing beak?

CALL YOUR VET! While waiting for an answer PLEASE call a vet immediately. Your bird seems to be in deep distress and may not be able to wait for you to be replied to on this board. Is it overheated or out of water? If not, or even if so, I would rush it to emergency care. I know you love your baby and I'd hate to see you lose it. :,( Please let us know how it turns out!!!

I agree - the symptoms could be signs of multiple things. A vet will be able to intervene and potentially save the life of this bird. Waiting is a bad and dangerous choice. See a vet, the bird needs help.
