White cap question

I just brought my pionus home two days ago and he/she is sooo sweet! But not being a bird person untill now Im not sure what some of the things it does means. It bites my hair and seems to try and get wrapped up in it. Im not sure if its playing or mad.

My guess would be your Pi is preening you as she would a flockmate.Take it as a compliment! If your hair is long, watch that tangling up stuff as it is hard to remove a parrot that is stuck in your hair.If the bird panics, she could injure herself or bite you on the neck or face.

She's loving you

My YNA and Ekkie do it. But because I inherited Max (my Max Pionus) after my mom passed away, he isn't quite so keen on it. He's seventeen now and kind of still determined that he's still my superior. My mother never let him think otherwise. However, if he's on the back of my chair and sleepy, he'll nuzzle in to my hair sometimes.

Be flattered, but watch she doesn't nip your ear.
