Introducing Mika, new White Capped Pionus

I'd like to introduce my new flock member: Mika. She's a two-year old White Capped Pionus.

For just having joined my household this morning, she seems to be doing great. She's very calm and even let me give her some scritches.

I got her from a woman who had to rehome her due to a lot of overseas travel. I found the ad on Craig's List. I originally wanted to take another rescue, but in the end Mika was just a good fit for our home.

There was a couple in Hampton, Virginia who had a Pionus and a Sun Conure they needed to rehome because they were getting stationed over in Germany. Oddly enough both birdies lived in the same cage and they wanted to re-home them together. They too were listed on Craigs List.
