Is Your Pionus Clumsy?

Are Pi's as a species a little clumsy? My Mika seems to "trip" and stumble a lot. She'll put her foot down beyond where the perch ends, etc. and usually she just loses her balance and needs to catch herself with some other part of her body. But yesterday she actually fell off a perch on her playstand... into a cardboard box. I can't decide if it was pathetic or hilarious.

Do I need to be concerned and bring this up with the vet at our upcoming visit, or is this just pretty typical of Pionus or parrots of that build?

I would be a little concerned but not overly. Just call the Vet and ask. I have seen all of my parrots stumble and even fall when they were still new on their feet. But never repeatedly fall off a perch after a years age. If it keeps happening I would be worried. How old is s/he?

I am told she is about 2 years old. I acquired her about two months ago.

She doesn't fall off her perch ALL the time, but she's done it a few times, usually while playing. Sometimes she's climbing and hanging upside down; when she fell off her playstand, she was engrossed with a foot toy and went to put down the foot that had been holding the toy, but she was already sitting on the very edge of the perch.
But I've never really seen a bird fall...

I'm definitely going to ask the vet when it's time for her appointment later this month, but are there specific conditions/tests I should ask about?
