Mika Just Flew!!!
Mika flew for the first time since she's been here - she finally realized that enough of her flight feathers have grown back in. It was a deliberate flight (not just being startled off her cage) - she flew off the playstand, took a sharp turn and landed on top of her cage.
Yay! That is all.

I didn't see her face, unfortunately, but I'm sure she was proud of herself.
Now the question is, can I continue to leave them both out at the same time or will Mika start flying at Stewie now? (I had to clip his wings not too long ago because he kept doing kamikaze runs at Mika). Ideally they should both be flighted or both be clipped at the same time. Having one of them flighted and not the other just seems like asking for trouble.

Sigh. Mika just flew into the window. I guess I need to start the "tap on the window" exercise with her ASAP. I forgot that I had done that with Stewie long before he was actually flying.
