My Baby is turning on me

My baby Chile is almost 7 mo. old. now. I believe she is female and I have been noticing a few more feathers lying on the floor and alot more eating. She has never tried biting me, but this past week I can't get her off the cage w/out getting snapped many times with flaring feathers on the top of her head and down her back. It has gotten so bad, that I have to put on a glove to get her down. Once she gets off the cage, then it is back to her normal sweet self. (for the most part) I don't get it! She is always been shy since I got her as a baby as the breeder wasn't the greatest for attention with her, but is this the end for us or just a phase? I'm sad!

It sounds like she has some cage aggression...Patience and working with the little one everyday on this issue is a must to help stop the aggression.

My little guy does it at times still...and he is 7 yrs

Mattie Sue Athens book "Guide to the well behaved Parrot" realy touches on this subject and her recommendations I have seen work. Lower the height of the cage or stand on a stool when getting her down. Make your head higher than than her when you go to get her. Pleaaaaase read the book. Her stuff has all worked for me and always seems to make sense. I have a double stack cage and my grey was getting cage aggressive. I switched him and put the more timid bird on top and now the timid bird is more balanced as the cage aggressiveness is GONE in the grey.
