Thinking of a Maximilian Pionus

I'm looking to add to my flock in a few months and it's between a Maximilian Pionus and a Meyers parrot. Any input on this? Also, I've looked into adopting and there are no bird adoption options where I am. I'd prefer not to go through a pet store. Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations on trustworthy breeders etc.?

I adore the Pionus parrots and would love to add them to my flock. I know one breeder from another forum but she is in CA.

Get the maximilian. My maxi is the sweetest bird in my flock, and I can do anything I want with or to her. Her breeder did a great job raising and socializing her. Females tend to stay sweeter than males.

So it's settled! I've decided on a white capped pionus. I know they tend to be feisty but I like that in a bird;) I have claimed a baby and he/she should be here in 3 months! yay!

I've got a white capped Pi, and she's the most adorable, sweet thing. You'll love him/her. Congrats!
