Gender Results and a Name
As some might know, my Boo-bird is getting a new friend as we will soon be welcoming a lovely little Bronze Wing Pionus. Just recently I came to learn the sex of this little baby and have been thinking of a name, and finally I am ready to announce...
...that the baby is a little girl!    Her name will be Alita, and I'm sooo looking forward to welcoming her.I had actually gotten the idea for the name "Alita" from another naming thread, and this one was one of the selections...and I really like the sound of it. Alita means "Noble" with the Spanish origin, "Little Winged One" with the English and French origins, and is a variation of Helida, a Hebrew name meaning "Of God" and/or "High; excellent." I think it will be very fitting for this little baby bronze wing. ^^

Here is her pic, actually. Debbielabella was very generous in allowing me to take on this little baby, since she has her hands full with her sweet little ekkie. ^^ The bw is ready to go at any time, I'm just waiting for the breeder to make the arrangements. Unfortunately the breeder's hard drive went kaput so she hasn't been able to get online for a while now.
When I get her in, I'll take pics and post them up along with some new (and older) pics of Boo. I'm getting really excited now; with each new item that comes in it gets harder and harder to wait.  Both a new cage and Alita's sleep cage have arrived, Alita's food has arrived (diet of sprouts + pellets + fresh veggies and fruits, so hopefully she'll teach Boo some good habits), as well as the Easy Sprout sprouting kit. I'm waiting for some extra perches and goodies to come in, too...should be in any day now. ^^

She is very pretty. The wait is hard. It has to be even more difficult since she's weaned and ready to come home. That part would make me want to pull out my hair.

congratulations! what a beautiful name for a beautiful girl!
When Gail had the pictures up on her website I asked if it was the one on top right with all the red, she said yes it is the prettiest one. She never sent me the picture otherwise so hopefully we were both clear on which picture! As far as e-mail, seriously, if you get a response via e-mail I would be amazed. If you want to get that baby home, call her. You'll be a great birdie mommy to her ! she's a lucky girl.

yea Im so excited for you and Boo!!!! I hope he adjusts well to having a friend, Neko wants nothing to do with any birds! He is truly a people bird. Congrats! I cant wait to see pics.
