My new bird

We have just become the proud owners of a beautiful Senegal Parrot. He/She is about 12 weeks old. We have only had him since Sunday afternoon and already he is a big part of our family. I am so pleased we bought him. We have called him Worple. It was love at first sight and he is so sweet and tame. Enough said I could go on for ever.

Thanks Joel, I am looking forward to joining. I am really excited about our new pet. We already have guinea pigs, cats and fish but never a parrot. Once had a budgie but Worple is much more fun.

Welcome! I just got my first Sennie a few weeks ago. Ive had many parrots over the years but this was the first Senegal. He is an absolute treat, very fun and playful, alot of big bird attitude in a nice compact package. Enjoy!

I had thought about a senegal when I got my Quaker...wouldn't trade my quaker (or any of my fids...'cept maybe that mean ole ringneck), but would consider a senegal again!

Hi, I just adopted a sengal on Sunday as well. I, too, absolutly love her (we think she is a she), her name is "Sugar", and she sure is sweet, she loves to have head tickles and give kisses, isn't it the best???

Congratulations you will have such fun with her.

Worple is now around 6 months old and is such a character. He went to our local pet shop for christmas whilst we were on holiday and had a great time. The other birds there have taught him to wolf whistle. He is still not talking but there is plenty of time for that.

We love him (not sure if he is a boy or a girl) to bits.

Completely understand! It was love at first sight when I met my Rock. Worple looks absolutely adorable.

Sometime I'll have to post about Rock's shenanigans LOL! He gives me heart failure at least 1-2 times a week.
