Meyers owners

Hello, I am trying to find out any information about the Meyers parrot. We took our cockatiel in for grooming and absolutely fell in love with a Meyers hen. The shop owner said she was 9 months old and her owner always wanted a meyers.... but the meyers didn't like him. She prefers females. Is this common? Should I be worried she may one day change preferences again? Any help would be appreciated.

I have a bunch of Meyers (LOVE EM), really rather quiet birds, full of charm. If ya are in my area, I will give ya a great discount if ya pick up & want to handfeed providing you know how or are a good learner & can demonstrate proficiency to me.......I believe most birds will adapt to anyone, regardless of sex, as long as the new owner is kind, extremely patient & understanding and devotes much quality time to their new charge(s).

Regarding the myers. My fiance really wanted a senagl until one day we went to the pet store and shop owners showed him a Myers. This myers was really really sweet except it only liked men. So it worked out my fiance fell in love with him and they were a match made to be. If the myers your interested in prefers females and that works for you, than go for it. Our Myers and my fiance have the best bond Ive ever seen from day one!!!
