Hi everyone!

I'm posting here for the first time as I have just brought home my baby Meyer's. His name is "Butters" and he's about 15 weeks old. Here's our story.

I first met my baby in December when he was 12 weeks old. It was love at first sight. I held him and he loved on me and was just the sweetest little guy. I had been researching them for a while and I thought about buying him. Well, when we went back to check him out again, he was gone, so we didn't even get to make a decision. I was pretty heart broken but decided that I'd look around and try to purchase a Meyer's in the summer time.

Well, last Thursday they called me and told me that the people returned him because their son was allergic to him. They asked if I wanted him. I went down the next day and talked it over with them and decided to buy him. I brought him home today. He's still the sweetest, most loving bird. He loves to be around all of us and he loves to love. He gives us kisses and loves to get scritches and just sit on your chest and be with you. I'm so happy!

Anyhow, I can't wait to get to know you all, and as soon as I find my camera , I'll be sure to post pictures of Butters ! :)

Hi everyone,

Sorry I didn't get back with photos sooner. It's been a hectic week. I never did find my camera either, but, I got a brand new Canon Rebel XTi camera so I've taken lots of pictures of Butters. He's settling in so well and thankfully the agressiveness that Soloman (my lovebird) showed the first 2 days has passed . Anyhow, I'll get to what you really want to see...here is Butters

what cute pics! he actually looks like he's posing for you. if i wouldn't have gotten my caique i would've got a meyers..or if i ever do get another bird i think it will be a meyers.
everything i read about them was great. but right now bailey and peaches keep me pretty busy!

Why is that? Is it due to dominance?
I'm asking because I'm seriously considering getting a meyers/senegal in the near future and want to know exactly what I can expect.
