I got some kinda good news...

Well i had finally decided after a lot of research and deep thinking, that i was going to rescue the Senegal from the local pet store. But..........when i went in to check on him and talk to the manager about purchasing him.............he was gone! So i went and talked to the manager and he said that a family with a blue and gold macaw came and got him! I dont really know what to think but i figure that if the people have a b/g, they must know what they are doing to some extent, i hope. Well i thought i would share!

That is good news, at least it is out of the pet store. That means you can rescue are bird that really needs rescuing like an abused bird that needs lots of love!! Or get a baby from a breeder so you can follow its life from the beginning.

Thankyou I like the caique's, they are funny! They look like they have fluffy pants on haha .

I was going to get a quaker parrot, they are really cute, depends what size you were going for?

I am used to birds as we used to care for wildlife (Australian) so we would have anything from a silver eye (tiny) to a tawny frogmouth (like an owl). I have been bitten by soo many birds now, from budgies and tiels to ducks and pelicans lol so not much scares me...except ringtail possums...OUCH

I have tamed tiels and have one of my own so I was after a bigger bird and liked the look of ringnecks, my grandad had one but i didnt like its personality much, and saw the Alexandrine's...soooo cute and friendly!! Maybe an Alex???

Whatever you get I'm sure you'll love it!

well, everyone knows what my fave birds are not too much into parrolets though, id much rather get a linnie they are both cute, but linnies are very laid back compared to the parrolets. caiques are great too, although not one of my faves.

Kaks are not to common here. I was once offered a male breeder bird for free from a friend of a friend and the reason was they couldnt find a mate and thought maybe I could tame it but it was older and Reeeeeaaaly wild and I was not up for the challenge at the time. They mentioned how hard it was to find them and they were giving up.

Oh, yeah I didnt think they were to common there. They are a New Zealand bird so we get them pretty easily in Australia. They are cute but full on...funny as though. Cant stay in one spot for too long lol.
